Thermal characterization of micrometric polymeric thin films by photoacoustic spectroscopy

چکیده

In materials science, the knowledge of thermal properties thin films on thick substrates is crucial in determining role film physical entire system. Even though can be very important, determination its a challenging task due to fact that contribution heat transfer generally hard single out from influence substrate. Herein, simple analytical methodology, based photoacoustic technique, useful characterization substrates, presented. The approach illuminating one side substrate with modulated laser beam and monitoring contrast when formed opposite side. This methodology allows unambiguously determine volumetric capacity micrometric polymeric films. limits applicability method as well possibility performing full are discussed.
